First of all, I don’t think you should be worried about playing Minecraft for free because Minecraft’s original developer, Markus Persson, openly announced that you should pirate Minecraft if you can’t afford it.
Anyway, let’s get started. You’re going to need three things to play Minecraft for free.
- First, a Google account.
- Second, a Minercraft account.
- And third, MinerAuth, which you can download at http://minerauth.com/download/.
Basically, MinerAuth will authenticate your Minecraft account to get rid of that “user not premium” error you get every time you log in with a non-premium account. Bypassing this error will allow you to fully load Minecraft and play offline and online with the latest version. The only thing is that you can’t play on official Minecraft servers, but you can still play on cracked servers.
Now, since I don’t really know what MinerAuth does with my account info or why it even needs a Google account, I’m just going to play it safe and register new accounts with a random password.
I’m going to go ahead and register a Google account. I’m also going to show you a trick to verify your Google account without using a real cell phone.
To do this trick, go to http://pinger.com/textfree. Then, sign up for an account right here. Just type in any email and enter the captcha. Now, enter any real zip code and pick any age that’s over 18. Hit next and then pick a number, any number. Hit cancel… Finally, go to options and here you will find your virtual number. Copy it and go back to Google and paste it here. Remove the 1 and then hit verify. Now go back to your virtual phone and wait for the code to come. You won’t be able to copy it and paste it so just manually enter it in and verify.
As you can see, it worked, and I am able to go to the inbox. Now I’m going to register a Minecraft account real quick.
Once you’ve downloaded MinerAuth, just open it. It will update itself with the necessary files. Once that’s done, go ahead and enter your Minecraft and Google account information. Then, hit authenticate. At the bottom you can see what it’s doing and what percent it’s at, but that’s not really important.
After it’s done authenticating, MinerAuth will download Minecraft to the same folder. Open Minecraft and try logging in. You’ll see that there is no premium account error; pretty cool, right? Now Minecraft will update itself to the latest version. After it’s done updating, you can play all of the modes offline, as you can see here. I’m going to go ahead and create a world so you can see that this really works. By the way, that black square is just a glitch in my video recorder and isn’t actually there.
Playing Online with Multiplayer
As for playing online, you’re going to need to search online for cracked Minecraft servers. What I usually do is search on Google for “cracked minecraft servers” or simply grab a server from http://13-thirtyseven.com. Let’s pick this one as an example.
- Find the server IP address and copy it.
- Then go back to Minecraft and add a server.
- Paste the IP address and click on “Done”.
- Join the server!
The only thing you need to do now is register your account on the server. You must type /register space your password space your password again and hit enter:
/register password passwordagain
Once you successfully register you’ll be able to play. Well, that’s it and thanks for watching.
